what is Geode | Formation of Geodes | where you found Geods | Fake Geodes

What is a geode?

Geologists have long been challenged to explain how geography, those mysterious spherical rocks, form. Geodes are a variable phenomenon, which means that they can be formed in different ways. The word geode is derived from the Greek word geodes which means "like the earth."

Geode is a round rock that consists of a hollow cavity with crystals. Rocks that are completely filled with small compact crystal structures such as agate, jasper or chaledony are called nodules. The only difference between geodes and nodules is that geodes have a hollow cavity, and a nodule is solid.

Formation of Geodes

In the form of bubbles in volcanic rock or burr of animals, tree roots or mud shells begin in sedimentary rock. After a long time, (millions of years) the outer covering of the spherical shape hardens, and silica rainwater forms on the inner walls of the hollow cavity within the geoid. Silica precipitation can contain any number of dissolved minerals, the most common being quartz, but amethyst and calcite are also found.

The layers of silica cool create crystals of various minerals within the cavity. Different types of silica cool at different temperatures, thus forming layers of different types of mineral crystals.

Each geode is unique in its composition, which can only be discovered when it is uncovered or cut by the cover of a rock. The shape and formation of the crystals and the different colors within the crystal make each geode special. The rough exterior of the geode gives no indication of the mysteries contained within its core. The anticipation never fades for those who eagerly gather buckets full of round geodes and eagerly uncover the secrets of each person's shell-shaped rock. The most prized rare sapphires are crystals or black calcite.

Geode as decoration item

Large amethyst-lined geodes are often expertly cut to display their inner sapphire crystals. They are then seen and fitted with a weighted base to be used as home or office decoration items.

Early-lined sections of lava tube geodes are often used to create "cathedral geodes" that are several feet high. These are cut in such a way that expose the well amethyst-lined chamber, then they are seen to form a flat base, filled with metal-loaded concrete, allowing the geostation to straighten To be erected, the edges of the cavity are sanded for good. The appearance and the entire exterior are painted to hide the scraps and scuffs that occur during collection and transportation. Many of these large geographies sell for thousands of dollars each.

Where you found Geodes ?

Geodes are found worldwide, but the most concentrated areas are located in the desert. Volcanic ash beds, or limestone areas, are common land spaces.

There are many easily accessible geode collecting sites in the western United States, including California, Arizona, Utah, and Nevada. The state of Iowa also has geodes, in fact, geodes is their state rock.

The best concentration of geode sites in Southern California is in the Riverside and Imperial counties. The most famous of these sites is called Hauser Geode Bed, which is located in the Willy Well in the northern region of the Imperial Island. The same area also houses the North Black Hills Geode Bed and Cinnamon Geode Bed.

You can experience the excitement and mystery of Geode hunting at home. Each geode set has five natural geodes that are never open. You will be the first to see what treasures are within each geode.

Fake geodes

Along with the most popular or valuable items, counterfeit "geodes" have been manufactured by people and offered for sale as naturally manufactured items. If you are a collector paying serious money for a luxurious Geode, then you need to know enough about Geode and it is necessary for the mineral materials to be fake. Specialist gemologists, mineral collectors, paleontologists, and others who purchase expensive samples are regularly fooled by the Fake.

The accompanying photo shows a fake geode bought in Marrakesh, Morocco. It was being introduced as a smelting Geode. However, Geode's body was made from pottery with a pottery coating glued to simulate droop. Many highly skilled artists in Morocco make a living producing fake mineral and fossil specimens.

Amazing Facts about Taj Mahal

Taj Mahal The Taj Mahal 'Crown of the Palace' is an ivory-white marble mausoleum on the southern bank of the river Yamuna in the Indian city of Agra. It was commissioned in 1632 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (reigned from 1628 to 1658) to house the tomb of his favourite wife Mumtaz Mahal.it also houses the tomb of Shah Jahan himself. The tomb is the centrepiece of a 17-hectare (42-acre) complex, which includes a mosque and a guest house, and is set in formal gardens bounded on three sides by a crenellated wall. The Taj Mahal was commissioned by Shah Jahan in 1631, to be built in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died on 17 June that year, while giving birth to their 14th child, Gauhara Begum.Construction started in 1632,and the mausoleum was completed in 1648, while the surrounding buildings and garden were finished five years later. The imperial court documenting Shah Jahan's grief after the death of Mumtaz Mahal illustrates the

Facts about Soil Compaction.

What is Compaction of Soil? Compaction of soil is the pressing of soil particles close to each other by mechanical methods. Air during compaction of soil is expelled from the void space in the soil mass and therefore the mass density is increased. Compaction of soil is done to improve the engineering properties of the soil. Compaction of soil is required for the construction of earth dams, canal embankments, highways, runways and many other structures. Methods of Testing Compaction of Soil Standard Proctor's Test for Compaction of Soil To assess the amount of compaction of soil and water content required in the field, compaction tests are done on the same soil in the laboratory. The test provides a relationship between the water content and the dry density. The water content at which the maximum dry density is attained is obtained from the relationship provided by the tests. Proctor used a standard mould of 4 inches internal diameter and an effective height
